Riverview Park Kent, Washington

Visited the future site of Riverview Park in Kent, Washington today. Major construction should be starting soon so I'm glad I was able to get in to photograph the area. Notice the cut in the bend of the river. This portion will be completed by the Army Corp of Engineers and provide Salmon with a sheltered side channel.

 Green River upstream from future development. Banks are completely choked with Himalayan Blackberries.

 Both sides of the river are protected by recently constructed sand berms. Site of future development in distance.

Homeless site along river. The blackberry thickets in this area are rife with well work trails leading to homeless encampments.
